Cho dầu ăn vào chảo, đợi dầu sôi thì cho cá vào áp chảo, cá sém vàng 2 mặt là được.
Ở một chảo khác, bạn cho nước tương, mật ong, nước cốt chanh và một ít bơ vào và nấu ở lửa vừa. Dùng đũa khuấy liên tục tới khi phần sốt hơi sánh lại thì cho cá vào. Vừa đun tiếp vừa dùng thìa để múc phần nước sốt lên phần cá để sốt được ngấm đều. Nấu tới khi sốt cạn bớt là được.
Cho cá ra đĩa, chan thêm phần nước sốt lên trên cá. Trang trí thêm với ngò rí rồi thưởng thức.
