You should have seen rust. if raping was an option in game... people would do that to you. then make a snuff film out of it by bashing your skull in with a rock. then doing a dancing ritual around your body while screaming incoherent shit. or after you get a house people would actually stake out your house until they know you are a sleep for sure. blow up your shit molest you in your sleep. or build a house around YOUR house so you can't come out. while obviously raiding and stealing all your shit. trust me a guy that looks like a barbarian tin man with what looks like a home made AK. is a lot scarier than a dino. especially when you know if there is one of these. there are 40 more behind him some where just watching to cannibalize your corpse.

you start the game, walk in tall grass. that dark , small dino with shiny eyes is hard to see with all the grass, and you don't know the danger yet one small bite later , it causes you to fall, paralysed you wait for 30 seconds as it circles around you and bites from time to time, keeping you down and unable to fight back you die you now try to get your loot back, dino still there, guess what happens next

I never play it online because of all the idiots out there who know everything, hunt you for sports and build their damn ugly bases everywhere. Once i logged in and spawned in a metal box with no way out. No singleplayer is more fun, but also pretty difficult.

I have 1300 hours in it, dont play official. It will be endless hours of grinding and taming takes seversl hours for even small animals. Play with friends on a private server or singleplayer

Just start playing in a PVE server the time to get some experience. And then you can move to a PvP, but personally I don't like the PvP on this game...

I played for a while with my friends, the game is nicer with mods, which reminds me that I should look up for more.. want to play? We stopped, but I still like the game

I recommend unofficial servers. Some have rules to make it easier for newcomer. Or if you don't like to play with others start solo local game. Get a raptor early to defend yourself and stay away from dangerous looking animals.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the advice. Please keep it comin. I'm not able to respond to each comment at the moment (work) but plan to do so coz I wanna get the most out of this post. I've heard that once u reach a certain level of progression it becomes much easier n nothin would make me happier than getting there.

If you want it an bit calmer, play solo, not on official servers. There are also spots on the maps where you are saved or can build better bases
