Brühe Once I had trouble concentrating - the doctor prescribed me the drug "Medikinet" which had 20 mg of methylphenidate in it. I was taking it and he didn't even mention the therapy. Just gulp down in the morning and after school and that's it. I took it for 3 years. When I was 22 years old, I found out that these 20 mg gave me more speed than 1 line od pure amphetamine.

I agree that many problematic kids are given Methylphenidate for no reason. However, many people that are actually suffer from ADHD are been judge for taking this life changing drug. It pushes parents and adults to avoid it because they believe that ADHD is a made up condition or just a behavioural problem. This is what happened to me. I regret every day that I didn't take Ritalin.

This happend to me in highschool, did to well in my class so they wanted me in a better school. No school wanted me except for the school with autistic kids and shit. They had the higher education but still that school name is on my resume forever. Everyone in my area knows you're dealing with some sort of mental illness if you went there. The guy diagnosed me with add. I just have trouble concentrating when doing school stuff that's easy and repetitive.

At least in Europe doctors now get that not every child with a lot of energy has ADHD. So actually only a small part of all prescriptions relies on a false diagnosis. Most people ADHD take their meds and feel a lot better like me for example. I take about 50mg methylphenidate per day and for most people this is a lot. But I don't really feel anything from it except being more concentrated in my life.

I had a dude I worked with who said he had adhd. Turns out he is just incredibly dumb and was pumped full of meds since he was 4. He became 100% insufferable just because he was (and I quote) 'a little bit too active as a child, we had to do sth.' Parents like this need the chair

Talks like these are the reason why society is so judgmental about us, people who actually have add & adhd, i failed college and i am a smart kid, +90% in middle & high schools, everyone around me looked down on me, i can't concentrate on a YT video rather than a book, it is an actual issue, researchers said it is 80% genetic, i got all the bad one, balding, eyesight issues, shortness, and to top it all ADHD-C (impulsive)
